i took a picture of the milky way

stats for nerds:

this was taken at a bortle 4 area about a 30 min drive from where i live. 50 x 6 second exposures, 25 dark frames, 1600 iso using my canon t5i with a samyang 16mm f2 lens stopped down to f2.8. i didn't use a star tracker. the foreground was a 2 min exposure at 1600 iso/f2.8 during the blue hour (next time i'll drop the iso and shoot earlier to hopefully avoid noise/hot pixels)

processed with siril/graxpert/starnet and finished in darktable and gimp
