I wanted to write out an analysis of the miniseries Girls' Last Tour myself, but then I stumbled across a blogpost that did a far better (and more concise) job explaining and summarizing it than I would.
Here it is for anyone who is interested. It's really a very powerful narrative that touches on many aspects of everyday life as well as an underlying feeling of hopelessness, and whether or not to embrace it or live in spite of it.

Glad that I could help bring it onto your radar. I recommend the animated series of Girls' Last Tour as well, as it allows for more of the narrative to be gotten across without having to be compressed down into the length of a manga volume
