I don't mean to be rude, but I find it ridiculous that some people are considered "wannabes" by others just because they like a culture other than their own. Just because you're Asian doesn't mean you can't show interest in the culture of a South American country, and vice versa. This is weird. "Oh, so you're wearing douyin makeup, you want to be Asian?", "Oh, so you're tanning, you want to be an Islander?" GIRL, I JUST WANT TO LIVE, THANK U.
You can love a country and its culture, and if you feel connected to it, you can even begin to embrace it. I don't see a problem with that. As long as you're not disrespecting it, that's fine. And it should be in this way. After all, aren't we all descended from the same first humans? Duh.
