GORILLAZ' NEW SONG?! *PHASE 8, THE MOUNTAIN 2025!!!!*

HEYHEYHEYYY, so...

After almost 3 years of starving.... us, Gorillaz children got fed, Damon finally got his a## up to make a new song. And GOD is it beautiful.

To start off, as of sept. 2025, on 11th day of the month, a new Gorillaz song titled:

"The happy dictator" was uploaded to their channel and to their Spotify, as well as to other music platforms.

Also during that date, (if I'm correct? Feel free to correct me if I'm not) they announced the new album, "The mountain" coming out on March 20th, 2026. We also got some new, official art and the names of the tracks.

We still got (official and confirmed) access to only one, "The happy dictator", though.

Personally, I love the song. It gives off strong phase 6 and 3 vibes. Makes me wonder how the whole album itself will sound, which I am [incredibly, in an almost unhealthy way] excited for.

But there's also but's.

From what I've heard, many Gorillaz fans say it's just "not the same as it was" and that they "Lost their spark". Honestly? NO. Gorillaz was and will always be strange. This IS the point. Also, I love the shift from like, a very normal, ground-touching lore, to Murdoc being a literal cult leader, and then... a dictator? [perhaps?]
