TODAY WE HAAAVE:
THE GIRAFFE WEEWIL!
(Trachelophorus giraffa)
This species are endemic to Madacasgar, and their long necks serve no other known purpose than having larger advantage of meeting (long necks get more bitches).
They're so silly looking just like the rest of the weewils, and yeah, actually their necks are also useful in building nests and using them for combats, but mainly for the bitches (to my deeply scientifical brain).
They are used as gifts for decoration and jewerly in Madacascar,
Aaaaand, they have cousins from New Zealand! They are't actually related closely (other than both of them being weewils ofc).

The species name is the New Zealand Giraffe weewil (Lasiorhynchus barbicornis), but unlike the Madacasgar Giraffe weewils, they have HUGE snouts (aka the rostrum).
They tunnel in the woods for at least 2 years as a larvae, and live only for 2 weeks after emerging and they have the ability to fly despite their large body (but they kinda suck at it).
PERSONAL OPINION TIME LIKE IT MATTERS!:
They both are the silliest of them all, and I love them. I LOVE weewils in general too, so I may enter more stuff about another species of these guys ehehe.
Happy weewil saturday ya'll!
