Update on my culinary classes

I haven't had a mental breakdown yet but so far I've been close so far my classes are A's and B's but my first practical I failed it and so far I feel like everything is going so fast. It feels like everyone knows what they're doing accept me. I feel very alone in Philadelphia and so far I have two quizzes one of which involves conversions and I'm scared of not doing well. My family pointed out that one of my quizzes I did a B (89%) and the other quiz for my second class is 87% and that's already adding stress to it.

If anybody has any advice or tips to help me with culinary that would be great, I sometimes feel like quitting culinary school and go back to what I was doing before which was working at the arcade and going home to my family. Making friends here has been struggle, I only made two friends one of which lives on campus and the other who commutes and being someone who lives off campus in an off campus apartment making friends has been difficult.
