Music Makes You Feel Shit
It doesn't need to be said that almost every single person on this site lives and breathes music. I mean seriously why wouldn't you. It's fucking everything and can solve damn near every situation. Pissed off? Crank the stereo and scream some Slipknot, Wage War, or 5FDP. Feeling sad and broken? Amity Affliction never fails to make you feel a little bit better. High AF? Gorillaz or Pink Floyd will make that experience fucking great.
I want to talk about a specific feeling though. That feeling all of us have deep down. That "FUCK THE SYSTEM" feeling. Now, obviously punk rock nails this feeling, and bands like Rage Against the Machine are definitely some of the best to ever do it. To me, however, Shinedown's album Planet Zero captures that vibe perfectly, albeit, in a much more artistic way.

Review
I'm not going to go over each song (that would take ages) but I do want to touch on a few bangers.
Let's start with the first song No Sleep Tonight
You wanna talk about a fuckin' headbanger? This song punches you directly in the face immediately!!! The drums and guitar come in with a badass marching style introduction. A quick pause. And BAM back in with vocals and a driving riff. This song opens the album with that feeling of "we are tired of this shit and you are GOING to listen to us" (us being people like us)
Planet Zero
The title track of this album. Lays out the obvious issues with this corrupt fucking country. In your face loud verses, sick ass breakdowns, and a melodic chorus. Just a favorite line of mine: "on your knees for the life you're living, on your knees or you'll be replaced!!!!" BANGER
A Symptom of Being Human
One of the songs on the album that balances out the loud call for rebellion. This song is very touching and does an excellent job of making the listeners feel seen and connected. It's a beautiful song speaking to feelings of depression, anxiety, being accepted, and overwhelmed. It's truly a masterpiece and probably my favorite song on the album.
I'm going to leave this review here because I'm out of time but in closing. This album is a 10/10 the whole way through and is the perfect mix of rebellion and unification of people who feel like they're outcasts. Give it a listen yourself, you won't be disappointed.
Love you all,
-Sal-
