TEACHERS USING AI????? (rant)

Chat. How is it fair that teachers are using AI in their lesson plans???

If schools are going to ban AI usage, shouldn't it be going both ways? This is my first full week back in school and HALF of my teachers have mentioned using AI or preached about how useful AI is in a school setting yet all of them have strict rules against students using AI???

Now, I need to preface that I do NOT use AI. This is not a complaint post trying to say like "oh If teachers can use AI then so can I!!" NO!!!!!! THAT IS NOT WHAT I'M SAYING.

What I'm saying is how is it fair that I have to go to school and learn from a teacher that can't even bother to make together their own lesson by themselves. As somebody who plans on majoring in the arts, it is SO DISCOURAGING being assigned work where the assignment is literally "Use open AI to generate an image for blah blah blah or use AI to write your notes, etc!" LIKE WTFFFFF????

I literally can't escape it here!!!!

Is anybody else dealing with the same issue at their school????
