Today is the day (for yapping about my profile picture)

So.

Today is the day.

As foretold in one of my "birthdayposting" blogs.

I once promised I would change my old-ass PFP from when I was 16-17 into this on the day of my birthday (which has long since passed). Then I got so excited, I got tired of being excited, so I redirected this excitement... by changing it 2 days prior to my birthday.

"Who is this?"

Since I firmly believe in gate— well, I'll just be nice for now. Basically, this yokel up here is Heikki Hela, ex-member of Finnish gospel band "Gospel Power". That's it.

"What do you mean, that's it?!"

What? OK OK fine. Because of my lack of experience in international affairs and diplomacy (even though IShowSpeed managed to improve US-China relations by simply visiting China), I'll say it.

For Finnish users, some 0.7% of you may be familiar with him in "Kummeli" (a sketch comedy troupe). And boy do I have some news for you: yes that is Heikki indeed.

"Why the hell would you choose that as your profile picture?"

1. Because I really really like the music of Gospel Power.
2. Because I thought it would be funny.
3. Because he's cute. (yo what?!)
4. Same reason why K-Pop fans, V-Kei fans, emos, basically any music fan ever have PFPs of their favorite artists (see no. 1)

"But m0sdet6! You're not Finnish! Why would you listen to that if—"

Yes I know that. It's a long story of how I managed to discover this band in the first place. This first part of the story will be a stretch, ok?

It all started, when I came across a meme called "bowling screen animations when you get a strike". bla bla bla Finnish political sitcom, ble ble ble, Jussi Halme, blu blu blu, what is a bad song hbpbububub men with mullets. Type shit.*

And then!!!!! I came across (read: the YouTube algorithm managed to lure me with) a thumbnail of another Finnish guy with a mullet. I was like: "how was Jussi a member of a gospel band? was he Christian or something?"

So I heard. Damn this shit is fire. But the lead singer is charming, handsome, optimistic, positive, patient, effortless, and daring. (it's the inside that matters because he is quite good at singing)

Then I listened to what this band had to offer. Damn this shit is fire. Like "Promise" didn't have to be this lustful.

Storytime over. God forbid I like their music!!!

"Conclusions? And since this is a blog post, how are you?"

I ain't got any more words because I want to sleep. So yeah, I just wrote it because I used to like writing about my favorite things. I am somewhat busy at times because of studies, so all that's left is for me to lock in.

I was gonna put a section here where I explain Heikki's time in GP in Visual Kei terms, but it would have been so long it would have cost me 2 business hours as if it was a thesis or some shit.
