alt/y2k thrift finds!! #2

HELLO i am back with another thrift haul.... this was kind of impulsive as i was mostly trying to look for sewing materials like fabric, ribbon, etc. i have a sewing machine in mint condition that i want to try using to do some thrift flips!! i have so many shirts that i could modify to make them extra cool.... esp with my collection of graphic tees omfg i need to stop buying them

i DID find some fabric and ribbon but unfortunately no lace. i might end up buying it online though ive been keeping an eye on fb marketplace just in case. only reason to use fb nowadays ajjfkmikajoikaw

anyway ..... heres the stuff i bought!!

yeah. mcr shirt. in my size. AND SLIM FIT omfg the print is in good condition too .... i grabbed this so fast u have no idea

ok lemme just say i dont support dolls kill for obvious reasons but..... finding this secondhand brand new (it had the protective seal on the panty part)...... i was so excited bc i have been trying to find more cutesy/kawaii/girly fashion to wear since i like all sorts of styles, and i have been frequenting the intimate apparel section just to see if i can find something cute to layer with. this is a teddy piece so im not 100% sure how i will be able to style it, but even then UGH ITS SO CUTE

this one kind of screamed gyaru to me, and i was also thinking of ways to tailor it so its cuter! im thinking of sewing a bow in the middle and maybe make it ruffled at the chest

butterflies and rhinestones give very y2k/2000s vibes to me. this shirt is a bit sheer and intended to fit oversized so i think it would be great for layering or even wearing as a beach cover during the summer!

ive also been looking into styles like coquette and mori kei and as soon as i saw this dress i was like oh yeah thats cute. then i looked at the tag and noticed it was more refined than most chinese branded clothing ive seen (usually of the fast fashion kind). it also included "since 2011" so i figured id do some googling as i never saw the brand before and discovered that this is a mori kei taobao brand?????? what are the fucking chances.... i believe the brand is called dear chestnut (dear栗) though im not sure if theyre still in business anymore

typical henley style crop shirt. i wouldve preferred this not cropped but its still cute. henley tops always give me 2000s vibes

this one i was also thinking of sewing a little bow on the chest. the strap parts r pink tho its hard to tell from afar. simple but cute

and last but not least, this fake my melody plush. shes a little dirty but still cute and its rare to find sanrio merch like this in thrift stores, so i bought her :3

i dont go thrifting as often as i used to but im glad i came here today bc this was such a jackpot. this value village is one i frequent often bc they always have good stuff like this. i almost bought a lava lamp too but decided against it. there were some other cool items i didnt buy bc i was unsure but it was also stacking up cost fast which makes me so mad THE MCR SHIRT WAS $10 LIKE WHAT

this wouldve been so funny to pair with the uterus shoes i found at this same store in 2022. if i had known this was going to happen i wouldve bought them LOOOOL
