I quite enjoyed it. The ending was… interesting
I quite enjoyed the book. I like how it was a new look at dystopia where the absence of things isn’t what made people subservient. But abundance was.
I liked Helmholtz. He felt like one of the few characters who actually stood on business.
Bernard was a bitch. He didn’t dislike the hierarchy because it hurt people. It was because he couldn’t get laid. (This is not a criticism of the book I think that Bernard was an interesting character , I just wanna give him a swirly)
Lenina felt like more of a plot device. Existing to feel sad and make John also sad.
John was a tragic character. He really was given a dogshit hand in life.
I enjoyed the criticism of Freud, and liked the debate at the end.
Good book.
