Im glad i finally got around to making this.. but here are some of my fave underrated/niche (?) bands that i really like!! Ill probably make another blog like this somewhere in the future because trust me.. there is SO MUCH more bands id like to yap about..
Showcase of the bands ill be talking about (in order):
GUNSLIKEGIRLS
GunsLikeGirls is a post-hardcore/screamo band formed in 2003. The band was formerly known as Emma, but after some line up changes they changed their name. They released one EP under their old name titled "...Then we burn the village" in 2005, and one single in 2004. They released their first EP under their new name in 2006, titled "Octopus in the igloo". Some songs i can recommend are "He is not a bird", "Prices switch" and "Hand control".
BURY ME WITH YOU
Bury me with you is a post-hardcore/emo-esque band formed in 2022. They are actually the reason i even got around to finally making this because they have their first album releasing on 10.11.25!! Right now they have two singles out and i obviously recommend listening to both.. Its actually one of the only emo-esque female fronted bands i know, and their music is so totally SICK!!!
AN EVENING AT ELMWOOD
An evening at elmwood is a post-hardcore/screamo band formed in 2007. In 2006 they released their first demos, and in 2007 they released their first EP titled "Secrets", and their second Ep titled "Learn to breathe" in 2008. For a time they held the position of nr1 unsigned artist Australia wide Punk, Emo and Hardcore on MySpace music. From their songs i can recommend "Secrets", "This is gonna get worse before it gets better" and "A three part lesson in..."
APRIL'S LOVE AFFAIR
April's love affair is a post hardcore/screamo band formed in 2003. In 2004 they released their first self-titled EP, and in 2005 a second EP titled "The manner in which i scream goodbye". They have been active on social media recent such as instagram and im pretty sure you can still buy their vinyl on the website linked on their instagram!! Im waiting for them to re-release the CD's since i dont really collect vinyl.. From songs i can recommend "Why Chris carries a knife", "November skies" and "Beautiful things are better left dead".
I NEVER HEARD THE BULLET
Def my fav band out of these 6 (or just one of my fav bands in general)!!! I never heard the bullet is a post-hardcore/screamo band. They released their first EP titled "Moving with grace that men despise" in 2007 and their second self titled EP in 2008, which is fully available on youtube (it was taken off spotify some time ago for some reason-.) From their songs i can recommend ALL OF THEM!!! Or if you dont have the time to listen to all of them... i can reccomend "10 ways to sneak up on a ghost", "65th and Holgate" and "Distance makes the heart grow".
OH SWEET RANSOM
Oh sweet ransom is a post-hardcore/metalcore band formed in 2008.They released their first and only self-titled EP that same year. They were teasing a second EP "Sleep.Dream.Wake" in 2012, but in 2013 they announced that the and had been broken up for some time, and the EP never came out. From their songs i can recommend "The chase", "Sadness and razors dont mix well" and "The arsonist Vs. the assassin"

you mentioned not knowing many female-fronted emo bands SO I HAVE SOME RECSSS the fire restart (male and female co-vocals), versaemerge, courage my love, my arcadia, to paint the sky, neo geo (they have a lot of cool electronic elements its like if emo met runway show????? my fav song from them is my coma PLEAASSEEE LSITEN TO IT ITLL CHANGE YOUR LIFE), tonight alive (the ocean oh my gooodddddd), a kiss could be deadly, eat your heart out, renfue, we are in the crowd, adora, kenotia (snowman whats your 20 sounds almost JUST like hayley williams vocals?? tehyre AMAZING), atrium, the material, weeknight remedy (THEY ARE SOSOOSOSOS GOOOD SADJGFHS), and blameshift (male and female co-vocals, THEIR FIRST EPPP IS EVERYTHING) LEMME KNOW IF YOU LIKE ANY OF THEM EEK
