Okay so I said I was gonna talk abt the recent anime I've watched and I didn't bc my life got a wee bit stressful, re-sprained my knee (for the 1000 billionth time) and my mom took me to the doctors and I NEED SURGERY (who would've guessed) and I'm so thankful to finally get my knee fixed. Okay now onto the rant;
Anime fucking sucks bro like jesus christ I've never seen horrible actions romanticized in such a vicious circle.. not just by viewers but TEH CREATORS!! for example Dandadan and made in abyss. The art and premise of the shows are very cool and neato BUT the contents of the show is just the sexualization of minors (ESP in made in abyss bc the characters are legit 12 and there's MULTIPLE boner joke wtf!!!) And these things are like super super unnecessary at least Dandadan tries to be funny, its not but you can tell it is attempting to be. I've noticed that anime all have a similar sense of brain dead crude humor which isn't always a bad thing its just like how far can u push it YK?? ESP WHEN THE CHARACTERS R STRAIGHT UP KIDS AND SEX HAS ACTUALLY NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING??
Another complaint humor tends to be super super repetitive and it becomes uninteresting to me just because of the style of humor but it varies from each one YK so maybe im just not watching the right ones.
Okay onto possitivessss (for got to come back 2 edit dis </3)
I actually find some of the art really really interesting a beautiful DEPSITE its repetitive nature the style can really appealing in certain shows, also they always have a strange premise which I think awesome I love strange things (ghosts, aliens, different worlds). Also cannot not mention tagopis original sin as that specific anime captures a lot of hard to swallow emotion. It is kinda exaggerated but that show deserved all the amazing ratings it got HOLYYYYY crap very intense and very good. I also like when darker themes are introduced as it is very contrasting to the cuter style of art in a lot of anime. GIRLS LAST TOUR IS SOOOOO GOOD, I love the dark themes being over shadowed by the characters desire to live, the show is super super good I might even get the manga but idk yet. I think I need to watch more in order to get a clearer perspective this is just my opinion ATM!!

I Agree I know I was literally there when watching these animes but you're just able to put things into crystal clear words. I'm also very glad you're getting knee surgery soon.
Going back to what I was saying before tho I totally agree especially with the anime Made In Abyss. Particularly with that show it kind of just rubs me the wrong way seeing the characters have to go through some seriously horrible things just to have a moment where everything is calm enough to make a sex joke. I have been watching anime for most of my life at before 5th grade and I can say this is something thats very hard to escape. Now dont get me wrong there are plenty of really good anime out there without heavy sexual themes in the whole show like one of my favorites Steins gate. When looking at media though especially anime it kind of has to be looked at through the median anime. Most anime are about highschool which isn't uncommon in America either it's a certain age range they want to cater too yk. It only becomes a problem when show and movie directors think its their job to explain what sex is or explore the theme of teens having sex. I think it specifically hits me harder in Made In Abyss because its not just about teenagers it's about children.
As for Dandadan I really did like the animation, the story, and the characters, they were all really fun and interesting to watch. As you know though the show cant help itself from pushing towards those themes especially with the underlying romance. I shouldn't say the show though since it mostly comes from the ideas of the writer who as me and you know is faceless and has created similar material in the past its actually just some of his only works. Then again though if you look at how a lot of anime today are made they are in a interesting bend because older anime use to be less sexual and more artistic and now its kind of going from whatever 7 Deadly Sins was and making a larger shift towards more artist and impacting pieces like Tokapis Original Sin unless im wrong and it was just a fluke and anime is gonna stay like that :p
