I saw the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie and the first thing I want to talk about is MOVIE THEATRE ETIQUETTE!
It feels like we've completely lost it due to the rise of home streaming and the COVID-19 years where people just couldn't socialize... so I ended up being in a theatre full of people who whooped and hollered. They would clap at exciting parts and while I understand the excitement, this is not your house! There are other people watching the movie!
Now, for the actual movie itself:
The animation was excellent, as usual. UFOTable has set great standards for the animation community and continues to make great strides. The fight scenes were beautiful and the way they switched between the fights (since there's so many going on at once) was done brilliantly.
I need not comment on the voice acting, the voice acting is always beautiful and the way they direct the VA's will always be a choice I stand by, because they've built up so much trust.
There were 3 key scenes (to me) in this movie:
Shinobu vs. Douma
Giyuu and Tanjiro vs. Akaza
and Akaza's backstory
While the Akaza fight scene was impeccable, beauty in every stroke, I think his backstory had a larger impact on me than anything. I thought Shinobu's fight would have hurt me, but Koyuki's appearance and Hakuji's response to her sickness, as a chronically ill person myself, touched my heart.
This has been my first post! I hope you enjoyed my short little review of the movie.
