About Me/Introduction

Hi! I'm Wyatt. I'm 16 years old and a junior in high school. My favorite things to do are writing, reading, listening to music, and making art of varying degrees of quality, usually falling on the lower end of the spectrum.

I am from the United States, and I won't go into any more detail than that unless I trust you. So, in short, you won't find it here. I want to use these blogs to do two things: one, rant about my life, and two, to share my writing because I need to know if I really suck or if it's just me telling myself that.

I write primarily short stories and poems but I want to eventually write novels. My dream job is to become an author and/or an English teacher. I love writing so so so much. It's arguably my favorite thing to do which is why it's at the top of my favorite things to do list. Obviously. Okay, I'm getting a bit long-winded.

I like reading and I will basically read any genre. My favorite book is The Catcher in the Rye but not in a bad way. I never killed a Beatle. I hate the bad reputation that book has. Honestly, my entire personality screams red flag to strangers. That probably explains my social life.

I LOVE MUSIC SO MUCH!! But I have no talent. I tried to learn guitar and piano but I gave up. Mainly because I wasn't any good but I also didn't want to make my fingers all weird from pushing the guitar strings. My fingers are oddly popular with one of my friends in particular.

Speaking of friends, for their privacy and general good internet practices, if I mention someone in one of these blogs, I will be changing their names and maybe some other details. I don't know yet. I don't want this to become a diary. I just want to maybe amass a small following of people interested in the day-to-day life of someone like me.

Okay, back to my interests. Art. I'm currently taking an art class. It's pretty fun. My art style is probably best described as so bad it's good. It has a charm to it. Either that, or that's just my excuse to make myself feel better about it.

I don't know what else to say. I'll probably just post writing stuff whenever it's ready. I want to make a compilation book of short stories and poems. If that ever happens, keep an eye out at Barnes and Noble or wherever. If it does, you can be all pretentious and say "Oh, I knew Wyatt before his first book" or whatever people who were early say. I don't know. I became a Swiftie in 2024. I have no idea what it's like to be early to someone.

I think that's about it. I'll probably make my first little "inside the life of wyatt" think or whatever I end up calling it soon. This is a lot more fun than I thought it would be. I might even tell stories about my past if I run out of interesting things to say. Okay. That's all.
