There has been an ongoing theme I've been noticing across every social media platform in this age of the internet.
I don't even know how people have managed to make it happen, but it's impossible to make online friends anymore.
Nowadays, all people seem to care about is how many followers you can get.
I constantly see people say they're looking for friends, only to put in no effort and it baffles me how that's even possible.

I know what you mean man even on sites like spacehey it can feel hard to just have casual conversations with people or form any actual friendships
yeah I definitely agree, I guess it varies person to person but I feel like its so much easier to comminate over text :/

From what I've seen, it's unfortunately because people only care about the number of followers they have. :/

I had to look that up lol, but yeah i agree thats apart of it too! Especially AI >:( i see the ads for that app people use to "talk" to a character and it makes me so sad that people would rather talk to AI then actual people.

The commitment things is scarily real. I consider tumblr to be one of the better socials, but even it has this problem. I remember trying to friend someone else,(who also wanted friends)and they would NOT commit to the first convo in the slightest
Ik all friendships go through that awkward moment, but this motherfucker wouldn’t even ask ME questions after I asked them. Not even favorite color or nuthin. N it’s like you expect to make friends…how?
Exactly!! Its so insane to me that people are like that. I understand the awkward stage happens and thats fine! It just gets to a point where i become reluctant to put myself out there to befriend people :/
