Un comienzo sin filtros: así soy yo

This profile will be about different aspects of my life and my opinions on various topics. I’ll be writing in both Spanish and English. Honestly, I’m not quite sure how to start, but I’d like to begin by telling you a little about myself so we can get to know each other and see if we connect.

My name is Daniela, I’m 16 years old (turning 17 in two months), and for now, my life isn’t all that exciting. I finished high school, but I didn’t pass the university entrance exam. I’m planning to retake it in November, and I’m currently taking prep classes. Lately, I feel like I’ve been learning a bit more slowly—things just don’t stick, and it’s frustrating. I really want to learn, but sometimes it’s hard.

As I mentioned, my life isn’t very busy at the moment, but that’s one of the reasons I’m starting this: to share a little bit of myself. Let me tell you about some of my interests.

I really like fashion; it’s something I truly enjoy, even though I don’t always dress the way I’d like to. Where I live, people can still be a bit close-minded, and I’m also a bit shy. Choosing to feel happy with what I wear isn’t always easy, and that sometimes keeps me from fully enjoying the clothes I love.

I also enjoy drawing. It’s been a hobby of mine for a long time. Even though I don’t think I have the most vivid imagination, I think I’m pretty good at it. I stopped for a while, but recently I’ve started drawing again.

I love romantic movies and all the typical clichés that come with them. Sometimes I can be a bit of a romantic myself, and I’m not ashamed of it—especially when it comes to people I care about, like my boyfriend.

I love sleeping. I think it’s one of the few moments when we can truly relax and enjoy something as simple as closing our eyes and letting ourselves be at peace. Another thing I enjoy is doing makeup. I think I’m pretty good at it sometimes. I love trying new products and techniques. I even took a self-makeup course, and even though I already knew a few things, it really helped me improve and better understand techniques I used to find difficult.

I think that’s enough of an introduction for now. I hope more people will support this new beginning—a little space where I can share my thoughts and life, and where you can also feel free to express yours and share whatever you like.

Este perfil va a tratar sobre mi vida y mis opiniones sobre todo tipo de cosas. Hablaremos en español e inglés. Sinceramente, no sé muy bien cómo empezar, pero quiero hablarles un poco de mí para que podamos irnos conociendo y ver si conectamos.

Me llamo Daniela, tengo 16 años (aunque en dos meses cumplo 17) y, la verdad, mi vida actualmente no es muy emocionante. Terminé la preparatoria, pero no pasó el examen para ingresar a la universidad. Lo volveré a presentar en noviembre, y para eso estoy tomando asesorías. Desde hace un tiempo siento que me he vuelto un poco "tonta", en el sentido de que nada se me queda, y eso es muy frustrante. Tengo la intención de aprender, pero a veces se me hace muy complicado.

Como les decía, mi vida ahora misma no tiene nada de interesante, pero por eso estoy empezando esto: para contarles un poco de mí, mis gustos y todo lo que se me ocurre.

Me gusta mucho la moda. Es algo que realmente disfruto, aunque no siempre me visto como quisiera, porque donde vivo todavía hay gente con una mentalidad muy cerrada. Además, soy algo penosa, y aunque elija ser feliz con lo que me pongo es lo ideal, a veces no me atrevo a usar ciertas prendas que me encantan.

También me gusta dibujar. Es un pasatiempo que tengo desde hace mucho. Aunque no tengo demasiada imaginación, creo que lo hago "bien" (si se puede decir así). Lo dejé por un tiempo, pero hace poco volví a retomarlo.

Soy fan de las películas de romance, especialmente las que tienen esos clichés típicos. A veces soy bastante romántico, y no me avergüenza serlo cuando se trata de personas que quiero, como mi novio.

Amo dormir. Siento que es el único momento en el que realmente podemos relajarnos y disfrutar de algo tan simple como cerrar los ojos y dejarnos ir en ese vacío de tranquilidad.

Otra cosa que disfruto muchísimo es maquillarme. Me gusta probar nuevos productos y técnicas. Hice un curso de automaquillaje y, aunque ya sabía varias cosas, me ayudó a perfeccionarlas ya entender mejor otras que antes se me complicaban.

Creo que con esto ya tienen una pequeña idea de quién soy. Espero que más personas se animen a apoyar este nuevo comienzo, este pequeño espacio donde pueda compartirles mis opiniones y mi vida, y ustedes también puedan contarme las suyas.
