When I say 'children's game sites,' I mean sites like Girlsgogames, Coolmathgames, etc., as well as more older options like Neopets, & your ordinary flash games. While flash is VERY dead I don't believe it makes sense that a successor hasn't taken its place, especially in schools.
We saw from the success of Grow a Garden and "brainrotted" type Roblox games that people, especially school students, yearn for the fun of item collecting & becoming a billionaire in useless game currency.
Therefore I don't understand why a website of this sort with these elements hasn't circulated in schools yet, not only are students required in most schools to have a shit computer MADE for web browsing use (chromebooks). while most schools do have some sort of filter for game sites, free VPNs selling your data for shits & gigs are popular web extensions in the chrome web store & every person I meet has around 6 installed.
infact, in exam season we all get told to delete or turn off our VPNs, every time a chromebook's wifi is shitting out, we get asked if we have a VPN on.. </3
Theres probably some sad dystopian like reason theres no "iconic" web-browser games now, such as social media's rule of something can only be cool for about a week.

Liberating madness
It's mostly due to school filters while some community projects are trying to bypass this once found schools will block it making it harder than before I would say the best way would be to code your own games maybe use Replit if you don't know how to code and want to use AI but that depends on what you want
