Meme death and FOMO

I can't be the only one on the internet who notices how quickly memes appear and then die right away, right... Like deadass I swear people go from thinking it's the funniest thing ever in one week and then a few weeks later suddenly it was corny and wasn't that funny and etc.

Tbh I think it's just because when a meme or funny reference starts to get popular, it gets absolutely slammed down everyone's throats, there's a billion videos of it in and out of the for you pages, and there's loads of comments of said meme to the point where it grows sick real fast.

I don't know if it was always like this or not honestly, I have no clue, but I noticed it's extremely prominent in today yk. I also think another thing that has to do with it is FOMO and the younger generations shorter attention span... IDK YALL Maybe thats just me
