# On Simulation Theory
Take the proposition that life is a simulation. There are two ways to approach this: I am outside the simulation, yet I am bound by it as through some form of externally caused made up reality, or I exist within the simulation as to mean I exist as a character in a video game.
Proposition 1. I have the ability to reason if I am within a simulation or not. I can therefore conclude I exist, as I have reason. Now as I exist, I can interact with this world as I exist. I therefore must exist within this world. I know this not to be as a dream because I can conclude there is a difference between this so called ‘simulation’/reality versus a dream state. There is comparable distinction between the two, yet there is nothing above this own. Therefore, the world is not a simulation as it exists so much as I exist.
Proposition 2. Same line of reasoning, however this proposition would imply a reality above ours. This proposition also proposes that a creation must have a creator, how then can we know of our creators do or do not have a creator themselves and so on. Say we stop one above us. We would know this to be God, as God would then create us, we would exist as well. This would simply be to say that the simulation must just be reality, as if it were a simulation; it would need to simulate something. If it is its own thing, it must be its own reality as it would not simulate anything outside of its reality. Therefore, it is not a simulation.
# How I Know I am Not God
I can conclude I am not God by the very same thing I can make myself believe that I am God. Reason. I can reason that a true God is above all, meaning He too must be of the greatest reason. There are things I cannot comprehend or reason, thus, I am not God. Too, as God would be above all, God would be infinite. I am finite, and I know this as I came to be and, disregarding the soul, will end as well. Furthermore, I cannot reason and understand the infinite, I therefore cannot be God, for one must be able to know themselves, yet if I do not know myself to be infinite, I therefore cannot be God. I must know what I am, otherwise I am not. For if I did not know I was alive, I could not reason whether or not I am. I therefore must be alive and must know I am alive. I know myself to be human as I know myself what I am not. I know others are like myself, therefore they too are not God as they do not possess such qualities above myself enough to classify them as God.
