crashout…?

Guys Im gonna tell a totally hypothetical story and I need yous to tell me if I’m allowed to crash out because of it. I think im being stupid but I can’t tell. It’s totally hypothetical though…

Okay so basically let’s say my totally hypothetical boyfriend has a totally hypothetical gig on November first which is totally conveniently my hypothetical birthday. It is his band playing, but he hypothetically told me on Saturday that he is DEFINITELY not playing the gig but then I see on Sunday, that his band put out a promotion poster on their insta and he didn’t tell me it was happening. 

I don’t bring it up to him obviously because well that’s awkward and I don’t wanna seem bitchy, but I’ve told him I’m having like a party and I told him about this, hypothetically obviously. He told me no matter what he would be there especially because me doing anything for my birthday is like crazy. 

I don’t think its the biggest deal on earth but he does gigs all the time, this is the first birthday with like us together, and like I know I wouldn’t skip his birthday even if I had a gig. This sounds so stupid, but it just hurt my feelings a little at the time, and I just kinda needed to get it out without like slander.

I was gonna only have a few friends over including one of his, but now they both won’t be able to come because of the gig, and another one of my friends can’t come either and I know I’m obviously not their first choice but still it kinda hurts.

I did bring it up to him though and he was really apologetic, and said if they really do play the gig he will do everything in his power to see me that day, which is really sweet. He said he really felt bad and he didn’t want to do the gig in the first place, and he told his band that but they didn’t listen, which I 100% believe because holy moly they don’t listen to a word that comes out of his mouth sometimes. He really is trying to make it up to me which is really sweet, because I told him I was actually quite a bit upset which was dumb, and he basically reassured me.

Obviously this is a massive hypothetical situation that totally isn’t happening to me at all in this current moment.
