I always loved the way Myspace did things. Like, it was social media, sure, but it was very passive. That really made it more like "hanging out with friends" like you normally would, rather than it being the always in eachothers business way that Facebook and the like are.
You posted a blog entry. You sent a message. You posted a new photo, but it was all at a pace, and wasn't in everyone's face -- you, for the most part, barring bulletins, had to really go out of your way to see people's stuff, and that was great -- you picked when you wanted to get involved in someone's life...
Well, something like that. I don't know, I'm writing off-the-cuff on this one and just letting my mind wander.
This is just really cool to me. Perhaps I'll use it more.
