Trees of note while on a walk outside (pictures).

I went on a walk downtown today because I work minimum wage slave labor in a few hours, and I don't want to. Here are some trees of note.

There's this random Coastal Redwood Sequoia that was planted here in like 1870. It's not the largest tree in the area, but it's real gorgeous. It's about 80 feet tall, I think. Was able to whip my camera out for a few pictures.

Gorgeous bark!

This oak was calling out to me while I was walking by. A white oak, maybe? I'm not the best with identification. Its height and branch development are impressive.

I found a small creek running through a world war II memorial. While I was crouched down by the water, a man across the stream had also happened to be doing the same thing. I never usually see other people just bullshitting around in nature. He told me there is going to be a blood moon tonight. Wicked.

These pines were beautiful, and all planted in a nice circle. Pictures do not do them justice whatsoever, they were huge!

I can't exactly remember what this tree is by the tip of my tongue, (it will get me later, and I will be pissed.) but this one was also real big. PICTURES DO NOT DO JUSTICE!! Look at the bus stop adjacent to the tree and try to imagine the scale, I guess.

Underside of the tree.

This tree was also quite large. There's a trend here of taking pictures of the biggest trees I walk by. I also liked the lumps this tree has on its bark.

There were a lot more trees that I couldn't get myself to take pictures of, on account of not wanting to whip out my camera in public like a loser. So I admired them with eyes only. Still, thought I should share. Near the capital, there is a Douglas Fir tree that's seed had gone to space prior to being planted. Those trees are called moon trees. That seed went on the Apollo 14 for lunar orbit and was planted in 1976.

If anybody noticed or cares-- disregard the time stamps on the photos, my camera is 12 hours off. I took those around noon.

Does anybody else have some cool trees in their area?

Those are so pretty! I remember the first time I saw one-- I thought it had been painted. Like a public mural or something. Nature is beautiful
