WHO WAS GOING TO TELL ME BOB BRYAR WAS THIS BAD.

"Okay, so this question gets asked a lot and comes up every now and then:

“What did Bob Bryar do?” 

And I said a while ago I would make a masterpost on the subject and here is my attempt at one, probably to be added to our resources and references.

First, lets explain the Family Breakfast thing.

A long time ago, Mikey Way was caught up in a little “scandal”. He had been with Alicia Way for years and for whatever reasons, they split and he was revealed to be dating  new beau named Sarah Em. Many people believe he had cheated, he’s stated that he did not cheat and they (he and Alicia) were already separated. I do think that its more likely Mikey knew the details of his own personal life rather than complete strangers. But thats besides the point. Pictures surfaced of Mikey with Sarah, one of them where he was having breakfast with her family. 

Because so many people believed he did cheat, many mocked and insulted him for it, and amongst those people was none other than Bob Bryar who then posted the infamous “Family Breakfast” tweet:

Since everyone was mad at Mikey at the time, people found it hilarious. People quoted it, laughed about it, just thought it was the funniest thing ever. And thats all well and fine really, he got in his dig and no one can really say he didn’t have his right to.

HOWEVER because of the immense positive reaction he got from it, Bob started to drag the joke out. 

Like, a lot (as in every chance he got). 

His obsession with it actually got a little weird. 

Now, granted, I don’t know if Mikey and Bob had some sort of history together that warranted his reaction. Maybe Mikey was an asshole to him in the past or something, I really don’t know. Anythings possible.

However our biggest problem was actually when this occurred: 

Mikey came out about his struggle with addiction. As most of us know, Mikey’s mental struggles have always been overshadowed by Gerard’s. So this is the first time Mikey’s ever really had the spotlight on him. 

Which is totally great. Anyone who tells you getting over a long term substance addiction is easy is a fucking liar. And after that, I think most of us were willing to forgive whatever may or may not have happened with Mikey’s relatioship (not like it was anyones business to begin with though, really).

Except, of course, Bob. 

At the one year anniversary of Mikey’s sobriety, he proudly posted this:

To which of course, Bob replied: 

At which point, the joke officially became no longer funny. (If it ever even was, honestly.)

BUT WAIT THERES MORE.

That covers the family breakfast thing, but that’s hardly his only slight against MCR. 

Even aside from all that, Bob has used his former role in MCR to stay relevant for years. He’s tweeted numerous times about spilling inside information about the band, and hinted at a reunion for ages. 

There’s another screenshot I can’t find right now where he basically says that he’ll be spilling info soon because “they can’t sue me if I’m dead”. Which is fucked up for the basic reason that a lot of people still trust Bob and whenever he hints anything like that or makes it seem like a reunion may happen, the whole MCRMY goes into a tizzy thinking somethings going to happen and not realizing that he literally does say these things for the sake of attention.

Oh yeah did I mention he’s racist too?

He’s literally had no qualms about it. 

He had blackface as his twitter profile pic for ages.

He posts shit like this:

And not to mention the last bit in regards to the Baltimore riots:

He also tweeted that he hoped bicyclists died. 

This is also on his instagram, and appears to depict a biker being hit by a car:

In case you can’t read that, Bob captioned that “winner”.

Not to mention Bob also loves to photograph people without their consent and post it on the internet for the lulz:

I’m not going to tell you who to defend, who to love, or what to be offended by. I just want you to be aware of who you’re defending."  I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE CAN LOVE THIS MAN. HE WAS A HORRIBLE PERSON. I UNDERSTAND HE PASSED AWAY. BUT THAT DOESNT CHANGE THE MAN HE CHOSE TO BE AND THE MAN HE CHOSE NOT TO BE. It absolutely disgusts me so many people love and defend him.
