(clearly, god finally agreed that he owed me a favour...)
I went thrifting today for the first time in a while and I found all sorts of cute things, which is rare- regardless of how frequently I visit! honourable mention to the cool-looking skirt that was actually a dress too small for me (I was so sad about that :-( it looked awesome as a skirt!) and the green blouse that I unexpectedly really liked but ultimately left behind?!?!!? maybe it's going to haunt me forever now...Β
anyway, some of you might remember that I've been trying to thrift a waistcoat since the start of the year, and it feels kind of crazy to have finally done it!!! and here it is :-D
the best part is that it fits me like a glove, and I only paid $8 for it!! :-)
I felt so cool prowling around my room with it on LOL, and I'm sure I'll feel even cooler when I dress up as an office siren for muck-up week! (of course, I look forward to adding it to my everyday wardrobe too!) although I'm lowkey starting to feel like this about it:
because I reluctantly wore some very light makeup for my school photos to smooth my complexion out... but I want to go allll the way for my office siren look, LOL!! I'm even thinking about straightening my hair so my hairstyle will look neat! I'll definitely share some photos if it turns out well :-DΒ
I got a few other things (including the blouse I wore in the photos above), but my second favourite item is this adorable pink turtleneck sweater!!! at $10 it's perhaps a little steep for something made of synthetic fibre, but it was so cute that I just had to grab it! the sleeves hug my wrists, which is one of my favourite things about wearing sweatersΒ β‘
I think I'll be going thrifting again sometime during the week, and I'll be sure to let you all know if I find some more cool items!! the hunt for my muck up week outfit components is officially on πΌπ and I'm glad you're coming along for the ride! thank you as always for being here :-D

that's such a beautiful vest and for so cheap!!! do you know what material it is?
also love the sweater, those types of sleeves are the best.
I just checked, it's:
93.2% polyester, and
6.8% spandex/elastane!
interestingly, it appears that the manufacturer used traditional chinese on the item's label! I had fun piecing the words together on a chinese dictionary LOL :-)

i'm so glad u found some cute stuff !!! this honestly makes me feel motivated to share what i recently thrifted, but alas, im too tired right now.
that waistcoat and blouse combo is ELITE!! i actually think i'm in love. and that sweater is so cute, i'm going to faint. i find stuff like that often and i would pick it up but sadly i live in a tropical country where wearing a sweater (even in the freezing malls!!) is considered weird :/
you should totally share your finds when you've got the energy! :-D I love thrifting-by-proxy and reading through blogs about others' hauls, LOL!
it's a shame that your climate is too hot for sweaters! as an aussie I relate to the feeling of missing out on the very cutest fashion styles because it's just not practical to bundle up- though we at least, for the most part, have cool winters. anywho, I agree that the waistcoat + blouse combo is a SERVE!!! the colour scheme reminds me a little of chappell roan's lawyer outfit for 'the giver'. now THAT would be a slay...
