Time lies frozen here, always the midnight hour just before the sun would remind the poor sods on the planet below that it exists. Clouds formed around an ever-full moon, illuminating the sky just slightly in a cold, pale gray. Heavy foliage and trees, varying from thick fir to the barely-living skeletons of bark and sap, with thick, thorny brambles woven between stumps like a sick, natural impression of razor wire. An unwelcoming path of sharp gravel paves the single way in or out of a wide clearing, with an ornately dark manor sitting in the center.

Lights danced from room to room, and the door creaks upon entering. You are here, by some means or another, to serve as a means to an end that none can fathom. Having made contact with the one creature many would consider something of a grim reaper, you now sit in wait, occupying one small space in a large building filled with others in your situation, some willingly, others simply because there was no other choice. Any attempt to run away or leave leads you right back to the front door eventually. The times you *are* allowed off the property, you're sent to murder, sometimes to find more pathetic creatures to add to your merry little band of idiots, and if you refuse, or you die (frequently also a consequence of refusal)...

You're sent to *The Forest*. There, the Operator forces you to hide and collect. Eight pages total, and if you fail you're sent right to the beginning until you can get it right. Collection becomes a skill of second nature for those with less fortune.
