Thrifting has gained a lot of popularity lately. honestly; according to me, Thrifting means jus buying dirty, filthy, used and overpriced clothes to look cool enough and gain a bunch of fame. Ik that fashion matters but peple are mad behind brands like they'll do anything for getting thatΒ piece of cloth. I recently visited a godown where all the thrifted stuff comes directly from thailand and other parts. IT WAS FILTHY. I would never buy those used or faulty and rejected clothes.Β I mean even with low budget we can look fashionable enough. we just need sense of fashion; Brand ain't everything!!!
WHAT'S THRIFT STUFF EVEN ABOUT!

I mean, when thrifting itβs important to look at the quality of the item. If itβs stained or disgusting or feels cheap, of course youβre not going to buy it. And not all items are faulty and rejected, people grow out of clothing and need to make space in their closets. With inflation and thrifting gaining popularity, yes, prices have risen. But I donβt necessarily think that they are overpriced. When buying items, I think price per wear. Half of my closet is made up of thrifted items, and I havenβt gotten sick with any type of disease or something.
the demand for that kind of stuff is so much that the sellers set a skyrocketing price to them..... i went to a seller with my friend i asked price for jersy of lakers, he casually told be 1.5k inr, i mean how that reused shit is so expensive? its just a waste of money for me. But opinions matter from person to person.

I agree with some things, I think some thrifted things can be uhhh pretty gross. Like, you don't know who wore that when and what happened, but I quite like it. I think it's a fun activity, and I make sure to wash the clothes (twice or three times) before I wear them. A lot of the stuff I buy isn't overpriced, I feel like $4.50 a top isn't bad at all for things I would buy for full price. I think it just depends on what stores you go to and how clean they are. (Some thrift stores smell weird ngl) but I'm definitely pro thrifting. One thing I 10000% agree with is that people should stop only looking for brands, just wear what you want!!
I completely agree with the last thing dude!

Just wash your clothes before you wear them, problem solved.
You sound like a pretentious, rich, stuck up snob, and it shows.
yes, but wearing other's clothes may lead to certain infections, dieseases etc. and i would wear THRIFTED CLOTHES if washing sterilises the clothes but it doesnt.

I agree!!! and it remind me that once when i wanted to dress a little alt a little different but i wanted to ask people where do they get these kind of clothes from, they told me to not buy fast fashion because it's very bad and stuff, and just told me to go drifting.but the problem is that drifted clothes are from everywhere and sometimes not that old and can be probably bought on fast fashion or even worst, created by a clandestine independent business involving kid or whatever. The day I went to by my clothes from a drifting clothes i got bedbugs. Lets just buy clothes from shops. Easier. lol

Liberating madness
Due to the popularization and people wanting to resell thrifting has changed it used to be about finding cheap clothes or items that were good even if the clothes were dirty nothing a wash wouldn't fix but now people go thrifting to make money which in turn causes the place that sells them to up the price since the demand is high enough for the price what use to be something that helped people short on cash such as college students or young adults living alone now became another expensive thing due to influencers.
