update on my feelings towards the safety act + a long form content rant

so.. i still hate the new law. i hate it with my whole being. but ykw, im still accessing this site with a vpn (i use proton so every time i connect to it to get on this site (i LOVE it btw) im connecting to a different country every time)

but if i were to choose between this or my neocities to blog on, id choose both EVERY time. theres just something about putting in the effort to create your own pages and website that nothing in the world can change, and thats something thatll honestly never get boring- mostly because of the way long form content keeps you hooked for longer. long form (and/or physical) content > short form content any day (i say, as an avid tiktok user.) i mean, theres multiple reasons to prefer longer, maybe physical content: more information in a single area, more creative freedom, more engagement from you... im sure theres more reasons somewhere in the world but i seriously cant think of them rn

"but danny, what examples do you have for long form content???", you might be asking yourself. well, here! ill provide a list of places where you can easily access long form content with web links:

music - whether that be spotify, youtube music, (legally obtained) mp3 files, or something else, making playlists/playing cds and listening to them is long form background noise to play when you partake in another long form hobby like reading or crafting

tying into the first point for these:

reading - physically or digitally, reading something is genuinely a good hobby (like a lotta hobbies out there.) tbh the book i recommend reading is a good girls guide to murder and its series

art - whether you crochet, knit, sew, do origami, diamond paint, draw, write, or something else, art is an EXTREMELY versatile and accessible hobby that literally about ANYONE in the world can do, no matter what disability, mental illness, state of wealth, ect. you may or may not have or be in. no hands/arms but you have feet/legs? use your feet and legs as your hands and arms. blind? about everything in the world has a texture, except for things like air. deaf? all, if not most, sounds make vibrations, and music is an art form! unable to afford art supplies but still wanna make art? theres always nature to make art with if you dont have any traditional art supplies :3 dont be scared to get creative with your situation at hand!

but yeah thats basically it
