SEPTEMBER 3RD 2025: general update + infodumping Abt yumeshipping!

"Cement! Cement! Cement! Make sure to hold your breath!"

Heya spacehey! Sorry I keep dying on here :# I'm more active on my discord + TikTok, but I wanna post here at least once or twice a month, so I will try and do that more often ^_^

TLDR: Didn't go to the DMV bc of bills, new hyperfixations came in, and I infodump about yumeshipping terms!

Okay, soo... Good news is I don't need to worry Abt going to the DMV anymore, huzzah! :D bad news is, my parents need to pay a 400$ tree bill that might set back my college thingy back a few months or even a year... But that gives me lots of free time! ^_^

And with free time comes interests. Oh yeah, I got new hyperfixations. Well, one of them is kinda recycled... But I actually will elaborate! So far, I am hyperfixating on The Gaslight District (I managed to convince Momzilla, what I lovingly call my mother, to watch it with me during lunch), and I am once again hyperfixating on Plants vs Zombies!

But with new hyperfixations comes... New F/Os for me to yume with :pensive: mainly Crazy Dave and Mud hehe >:3

"Dell, what's yume? What's F/O?? THE NUMBERS MASON, WHAT DO THEY MEAN???"

Well, I'm glad you asked, because here is...

Wendell's Wacky Yume-Dictionary!!

GENERAL TERMS:

  • Selfshipping: This is when someone makes a self-insert (often a character they project onto or an avatar representing themselves). Example: Ted makes a character that represents himself and pairs it with a character from a game he likes. That is, by definition, self-shipping
  • Yume-shipping: Similar to the term prior! But, this one is more in-depth, because Yume could mean one of the following: Yumejoshi (Dream Girl), Yumedanshi (Dream Boy), or Yumejin (Dream Person).
  • Sharing Self/Yume-shipper: When someone is a sharing yumeshipper, they are okay and comfortable with sharing their F/O! An example of this would be: Lara is a yume of Ellen Ripley. Hank is also an Ellen Ripley Yume. Lara is okay and comfortable with sharing her F/O with Hank, thus her being a sharing yumeshipper!
  • Selective Self/Yume-shipper: When someone is selective sharing, that means that they often pick and choose which characters are okay or not okay for doubles to ship with. A good example: Jacob is a Yume of both Hawks and Bob Velseb. Jacob is comfortable and okay with sharing Bob, but is uncomfortable and not okay with sharing Hawks. That is an example of selective sharing!
  • Nonsharing Self/Yume-shipper: When someone is nonsharing, that means that they won't share their yume at all, most often out of discomfort or jealousy, but it could be for other reasons. An example is that: Omi is a yumeshipper of Leon Kenedy, but feels uncomfortable seeing Leon being paired with other yumes or characters, and prefers not to share Leon. That is an example of a nonsharing Yume!
  • Mirror Sharing: When two yumes have similar sharing status to their doubles! For example, two selective sharing yumes of the same fictional character? That is mirror-sharing!
  • Doubles: This is when two people yume the same character, because there's two, thus being double! (kinda self explanatory...)
  • Riako: More so known to the Japanese regions, this translates to 'real love', due to how some who view their love for their f/o like any real relationship!
  • Gachikoi: This is the male equal to Riako!

F/O's and S/I's!!

  • F/O: F/O stands for Fictional Other! This is usually the character someone ships themselves with
  • Romantic F/O: These F/O's are often romantic, seen as a boy/girl/joyfriend to the yumeshipper
  • Platonic F/O: Meanwhile, Platonic F/O's are seen more off as friends
  • Familial F/O: Lastly, Familial F/O's have more family-like roles, almost akin to a mother/father or sibling role!
  • S/I: This stands for Self Insert! This is often the persona of the yume! Not all Self-Inserts look like their user 100%, though! An example is that Dell, my avatar, looks like me in some parts (chubby, mostly brown hair, hazel eyes, glasses, and casual fashion), but has some features that I don't have (parts of her hair dyed, horns and tail, shape shifting)!
  • Avatar: similar to a persona, but could be VASTLY different from you! Your avatar could be something like an anthro animal, or something else that could represent you!

FANDOM AND SHIPPING TERMS:

  • OC: Some Yumes don't ship with a persona or avatar. Instead, they yume with an OC, or Original Charater. These are fan-made characters that often have their own lore or backstory outside of the canon of the media!
  • OC x Canon: This is when an OC is shipped with a canon character, often could be romantic, but can also be familial or platonic!
  • Canon x Canon: This is when two characters are shipped together! These ships are vast: they could be in a canon relationship or just shipped together! Sometimes it's familial or platonic, other times it's romantic! Some Yumes are uncomfy seeing romantic canon x Canon of their F/O's
  • Y/N: this means TWO things! But the one that appears in fandom spaces stands for Your Name, or rather Y/N as more well known. This is most commonly seen in fanfiction on hosting sites such as Wattpad or AO3

Shippers that are confused with one another
These are, by definition, types of shippers that are (in some online cases) bad. But as with doors, only one of these contains something really bad. I AM, IN NO FORM, SUPPORTER OF ANY PROBLEMATIC SHIPPING BEHAVIORS AND I DON'T FALL UNDER ANY OF THESE LABELS. I AM JUST DEFINING THESE WORDS TO CLEAR A LOT OF CONFUSIONS AND MIX-UPS I SEE ON THE INTERNET.

  • Proshipper: Proshipping is NOT what you think it is despite many tiktoks you may see. This gets confused with DARK SHIPPING. Proshipping is often 'ship and let ship', block the ships that you don't like, and in general are just moreso ship-positive leaning. However, this can tie into Dark shipping as well with how lenient Proshipping could be, which is why the labels are often mixed up
  • Comshipping: Comshipping also gets commonly confused for Darkshipping, too. Comship, short for complicated or complex ship, is something like idol x fan, devil x angel, immortal x human... Ships that are, well, complicated! This goes with the same dark shipping tie-in as proshipper due to how sometimes, complicated ships can dip into darker territory.
  • Darkshipping: I, IN NO WAY SUPPORT THIS. This is what most people think of when they hear proshipper or comshipper. These are your 4bvs3d x 4bvs3r, minor x adult cretin. Stay FAR away from these people. Follow the RBS method: Report the content, Block the person, Scroll on about your day. These kind make me sick to my core, and they should make you feel a little sick too.

Update: So my family has the bill. I'm not sure if they paid the tree bill yet, but I'm sure my mom would tell me when we'd get it paid off :D That's it for now, bye bye!

"Once you reach the bottom, a fate much worse than death! Cement! Cement! CEMENT..!"
