I've seen some things about the book "Carmilla: The karnstein vampire" and it seems like a very interesting vampire story. From what I've heard, the story revolves around a vampire named Carmilla who appears in the life of a young woman named Laura. They say it's full of mystery and suspense, with a somewhat dark atmosphere that makes it a captivative reading.
It seems like the book is written in a simple style, which should make it easier for those unfamiliar with this type of story. It also seems like the gothic atmosphere helps create a sense of fear and curiosity.
I'm curious to know if this story is really worth reading and if it's as good as we say it is. Have you read it? What do you think? Is it a good book? Please recommend gothic books or movies.

I'm a little late, but I'd still like to say that it's a book I highly recommend. It's not a long story, but it does a great job of capturing those gothic vibes. Laura and Carmilla's relationship is, although somewhat rushed, quite well written, and maintains a rather mysterious tone regarding the feelings they share. As I said, the story is a bit fast-paced, but if you enjoy short stories, it's definitely a book worth reading. It presents a mystery and lets you unravel it.Although I would have liked that the clues were not given too easily, that ease and simplicity that it has gives its charm to the book, in addition to having been a great inspiration for the following stories of vampires

I have read it!! I think it was really good, though as much as i remember i didnt liked the ending.. I gave the book to someone who i no longer talk, soI dont have it in my library3

I read a while ago, it’s cool MY PERSONAL FAVORITE probably bcs A FEMALE VAMPIRE WHOS ACTUALLY THE MAIN CHARACTER AND NOT A SIDE KICK, also bcs it’s kinda queer coded, her relationship with Laura can be read as more than friendship and that’s probably is bcs back in that period when the book was written vampire were supposed to portray sin and sexuality;etc so she’s probably sapphic.
One thing that pissed me off is that I think the ending felt a bit rushed.
