Time
A "natural" Kirian year lasts 90 days, but in the Kirian calendar system a year lasts 900 days and is divided into 10 cycles each of which lasts from one monsoon to the next (90 days), just like a natural year. Year 0 is the year humanity's progress got slowed to normal, an event observed by people as the speeding up of everything around them. Dates are written as three numbers: the day of the cycle (1-90), the cycle (1-10) and the year at the end (0-infinity) seperated by semicolons cuz why not. The abbreviation used is KDC (Kirian decennial calendar) but i will also write the year in earth years since it is easier for me to visualize in which case i write EC (Earth calendar).
example: 6;1;211 KDC (520 EC)
Formation of the First Kingdom
As the worlds settlements grew, 4 great cities emerged that held more power and a bigger population than the others: Ashakep, Nethytona, Wapchakna, and Hangumra. Over time, these cities founded kingdoms of their own with Ashakep being the most successful in this regard, controlling around a third of the whole world. Ashakep due to its kingdom's size was very threatening to Wapchakna and Hangumra who shared a border with it so the two kingdoms created The Two-City Alliance and expanded further in order to match Ashakep's size and maybe one day conquer it. The Alliance, however, made a big mistake in trying to conquer a territory that belonged to Nethytona. They sent in a quarter of their whole army to conquer it expecting that was enough, but the city predicted the movement of their warriors and surrounded them, winning a key battle and killing a quarter of the Alliance's whole army. Ashakep used this as an opportunity to weaken a rival so they invaded and nearly got to Wapchakna before being stopped, so now the Alliance had two fronts and a very weakened army. Over the course of the next few years, Ashakep and Nethytona would close in on the Alliance's cities with defeat seeming inevitable. Eventually Ashakep would almost surround Wapchakna, leading its king to call the king of Hangumra for help to which he did not respond and instead betrayed Wapchakna, annexing its remaining land and declaring himself the sole ruler of the Alliance, citing that the arguments between the two just worsened the situation and that he had more important business than saving a city that would just fall anyways. The king of Wapchakna then declared his kingdom independent and started attacking Hangumran units with his leftover army, but this was ultimately meaningless due to Ashakep's army capturing the city after less than 40 days of an independent Wapchakna on 54;9;209 KDC (517 EC). Hangumra didn't last much longer, falling the next year on 22;4;210 KDC (518 EC).
2 cycles (180 days) of an uneasy peace ensued, with the much smaller kingdom of Nethytona constantly scared of a war against Ashakep. These fears were not really realized, though, and Nethytona got peacefully integrated into the kingdom on 19;6;210 KDC (519 EC) after its king accepted an ultimatum sent by the king of Ashakep that stated Ashakep will burn the city to the ground if he doesn't give up his kingdom soon. A sizable rebellion emerged as a response to this decision, but it was silenced relatively quickly. With the kingdom of Nethytona gone, the world was finally united under one king, Tyeshluk of Ashakep.
