Just got my hands on an old iPhone 6S in the house. And for some reason, I want to use it… but the issue is, this phone is stuck in IOS 15.8, meaning most modern apps aren’t usable anymore. For instance, Spotify.
I really wanted to use this thing as an MP3 player at least, but seeing that Spotify isn’t supported kinda messed that up. But I just now thought… why don’t I use this thing as some sort of “retro” phone? Take SpaceHey as an example. This website practically simulates the 2000s internet. Maybe I could use this old phone to emulate the old times too? Y’know: SpaceHey as social media, note taking, low-quality photos, small screen…
I guess it could be nice :p might as well help me reduce my screen time as well. I could even download some books and read them when I’m outside and have nothing better to do - instead of instantly opening Instagram in my current phone.
Lemme know what you think about this plan! I’m up for recommendations if you’re into this type of things :)

does the old version of spotify just not work?
It says in the app store it requires IOS 16 or later. I think if I jailbreak it I might be able to download it tho.

i think you COULD technically upload mp3 into the files section of the phone and listen through there, but ive never had an iphone 6 with the intention of listening to music but idk
yeah I totally can, but I really wanted to use spotify :(
I even got premium (even though it's still on trial) but maybe I could use apple music instead, that is still supported I think
