1. You don't have to pay for basic features, such as unlimited amount of skips, picking whatever song you want to play, etc.
2. Buying the mp3 is just a one time purchase unlike Spotify in which it's a monthly subscription that'll never end!
3. There's no ads! Yay we all hate ads xD
4. There's AI songs and nobody likes that
5. Just download your songs and chill
6. It's cool
Go buy it and say goodbye to the company that puts almost everything behind a paywall :]

I don't have an mp3 but I did download a music player and it's the best thing I did, those spotify ads were a waste of time

Spotify is free, buying MP3s one at a time isn't.
MP3s are free if you know what a rutracker is.
Free Spotify is ass where have you been

I've been not using spotify, I download music off of rutracker (for free).

For the longest time I've been getting away with just downloading mp3 files and listening to them through my default music app for listening to mp3 files (duh...), but after having to get a new phone because my previous one broke beyond repair I discovered that apparently you get spotify by default now??? Not only that, but if you DO want to download a music app for reading mp3 files, it HAS ADS NOW??? Since when do I need to watch an ad to open MY FILES downloaded on MY PHONE?!

For real. I actually have an old purple mp3 player from my childhood. But it only works when I plug it in charge and idk why. So I just download mp3s to my phone instead. I wish it worked tho.

Dude a plus on having one nowdays expecially for kids in schools is the phone ban, i wasnt ever rlly someone to spend the entire class scrolling online but i really did need it for music mostly, it helps regulate emotions and all that, so being able to have one at school instead of using my phone helps me sm. genuinely a life saver ^_^

I'm planning on burning a bunch of CDs for these exact reasons! I have a CD player and I'd rather take the time to download each song on my Spotify playlists, burn them into CDs, and just listen to them on there than use Spotify again.

I wish it was more easy to still have a large amount of music on an mp3 player but also support the artists.. but I'm gonna def delete my Spotify as soon as I find something better for my music cuz wtf is happening with them .. sigh
CD's are so nice though! I love falling in love all over again with listening to a whole album at a time and experiencing the songs in the order they were meant to by the artist!

i think my only problem is that whenever i want to listen something new at the moment i just have to wait untill i get back home so i can dowland the song,, other than that listening music using a mp3 player makes listening music really enjoyable

vlc media player for your phone is literally the best thing. just go to loader.fo and download your music from YouTube as an mp3, upload it to Google drive then delete the local file, then download it to vlc media player from Google drive. you can use it on your phone it's totally free and it only takes a couple extra minutes

mp3's arent lossless so fuck that
apple music till i die
wdym by "lossless"?
by ★ Dizzy ★; ; Report
The file format MP3 is compressed and takes WAY less space, which is why its the norm. FLAC is lossless, basically meaning they don't compress it at all
Also most older devices don't support flac

btw im not saying mp3 is bad its actually great for most ppl... im just weird after 5 years of producing so now my music perception is kinda fried lol

Huh, I didn't realize the songs are compressed in the mp3 file.

Do you know any good MP3 brands? I need a Mp3 player thats not gonna break after 5 months.
You can always use your phone if you have one, but otherwise I’d probably recommend an iPod or Sony Walkman; something along those lines :)
by Aramais!; ; Report
Thanks for the advice. Ill try looking into a sony walkman mp3 player because i have tried to get my Moms old ipod nano to connect to itunes but it wont work. Although I think ill have to save up some money because most of those are over 100 dollars right?
by Krowshards797; ; Report
Uhm I think so!
Also if the iPod isn’t connecting it may be a problem with the iTunes, Cable, or USB port, so i would try and reinstall iTunes before you buy anything else
But if it still doesn’t connect then I would look on the used market for a Walkman (Doesn’t have to be one tho!) because there’s some u can get for cheap
Hope this helpss 3

literally!!!! at the start of this summer i started downloading and ripping all my music and now my library is 2000+ strong. so glad that i stopped using icky spotify, it's so expensive and impossible to find new music!!! (bandcamp foreverrrrrrr)

I'd also recommend going back to physical media, owning the CD is always better cos it will always be yours, also you're supporting directly to the artist.

don’t u need a computer and all that just to download the songs?
Yeah however you could go to a public library and use a free YouTube to mp3 downloaded

mp3 player is probably the best way to listen to music, you get to feel like in 2000's without stumbling upon some worthless AI "musicians", you listen only to the music you like and want to listen to and once again, nostalgia is heavy lol

How much can you get mp3 players for?
I'm not exactly looking for one at the moment but I have plenty of Mp3's on my computer if I wanted an mp3 player
