The need to be the same or different from everyone else

Sorry for the sudden topir out of nowhere, but I wanted to talk about something that has been bothering me for a while.

Have you ever noticed people's need to be different or the same as everyone else?

For example, something that is becoming popular now is "Bobbie goodies" and "labubu", many people don't like them, simply because other people don't like them. Okay, no one is forced to like anything, but most people don't like it simply because it has become something "standard"

It seems that people don't hate the standard itself, but rather what other people hate too. Have you ever heard someone express an opinion that seems to come straight from Instagram, Tik Tok or another social network?

That's because it really came out. The person didn't even understand what the other person meant, but by seeing a big text with "nice" words, and simply agreed because everyone was saying she was right. People are stopping having their own opinions and personality, simply copying from others.

I'm really happy that people are wanting to go against the norm and be alternative, for example, but for most of these people, being alternative is to please others, not to feel good and fight against the pattern that haunts us so much.

And there are also many people who don't like coloring, for example, and they buy several markers and coloring books, simply because other people are buying them too, and they buy several of them and after a few days they don't even use them anymore.

People are stopping having their own opinion and personality to please others, they judge other people because others judge them.

Instead of trying to please others and wanting to be different or the same as everyone else, we should just be ourselves. Want to be goth? Be! Want to have a more standard style? Have it! The important thing is to feel good and be yourself.
