Many people say I'm not black

Well not like that... 

They say it in a different way 

"Where are you from?"

"Your accent is so unique" 

"Your hair is so sweet, nice, shiny, bouncy totally not like that them coily kinks" 

"Are you Dominican 

Are you Puerto Rican

Are you... Blah blah blah 

Just stop talking 

So what my skin ain't blacker

Or my hair isn't 4c 

My accents is from the people that's around me

And You can't tell me I'm not black even if I wasn't that

Cuz I know I am me

And that is I'm black mostly definitely 

And definitely proud to be my black self
