As a fellow nerd, I thought it would be fun to share something near and dear to my heart ~ my book collection. Reading has always been a constant for me. So, I thought I’d share my collection with you! It’s not the biggest, but every book has a story behind how it got here, and that makes it special.

Most of these books have been thrifted, gifted, or found in unexpected places. Only a handful have actually come from a bookstore or ordered online. Honestly, I kind of love it that way. It feels like each one was meant to find me.

Books have always been a safe place for me. They let me step into new worlds, explore different perspectives, and sometimes just get lost for a while. 

One day, I can’t wait to see all of these books (and the many more to come) sitting in my very own home library (you know the dream room of ceiling to floor shelves with a spiny ladder across the room). Until then, my collection will keep growing right along with me.

That’s my current collection! I love how it’s a mix of classics, fantasy, mysteries, banned, and even a couple of science books thrown in. Every book feels like a little time capsule of who I was when I found each one.

PS. In the top corner you can see my crystal tree collection. My husband gets me one every Christmas to go with my love for all my other crystals. He even built the shelves the books and trees live on. (I might even do a post about my crystal collection one of these days.) Also the space painting above the books was a gift from his cousin. It's made from spray paint and is one of our favorite pieces in the house.
