I've had my PSP 1000 since my 7th birthday, unfortunately it broke 🥲. I think it needs a new battery (also a new screen). I'm thinking of also get the PSP 3000 but like i have no idea if it will be worth it or not, i like the design but that's all i know for now🤷♀️, i think i'll wait to fix mine before buying another one.

So as a previous owner of alot of psps i can truly advice you about the 3000 instead of the 1000 is the screen
The 3000 screen is LCD which provides better colours and depth un like the 1000’s screen
And also the GPU for the 3000 is better so better FPS in general with better battery
But its not as thick as the 1000 so it’s kinda more fragile
And that’s my experience with the psp and wish you best luck with your choice
