I love love LOVE customising everything I have to fit me, I love my spacehey profile, I love my neocities, I love all of it! I wasn't alive during the 2000's, but I really get how lots of people say they miss the amount of customisation available on the internet during that time. Now, all the mainstream social media platforms like Youtube, Instagram, Tiktok etc, have bascially no customisation. 

Being able to express yourself through everything you have and create is very important I think. It can be a way to show your opinions, signal to others what social groups you're in, etc. Also its just fun, and its an amazing way to learn even more about yourself.

• POSTERS!!!!!

  I love posters so much, I have them all over my room. I don't even have that much, but I have at least one on each wall in between my desk and shelves and stuff.

• DIY!!!!!

  I love making my own stuff; I've crocheted a lot of stuff, such as beanies and fingerless gloves, and I've also just done little things like put beads on the laces of my converse.

• INTERNET STUFF!!!!!

  • ALTERNATE SOCIAL MEDIA!!!!!

    You probably already do this, seeing as you're on SpaceHey reading this, but alternative social medias like this allow room for much more customisation, and less censorship when it comes to posting; platforms like Youtube and Insta tend to be biased and may hide or 'shadow ban' creators when they aren't spreading opinions that the higher ups deem 'correct'.

  • PERSONAL WEBSITES!!!!!

    Using something like Neocities to create your own site is so fun, even if you're a beginner at coding. It's even more customisable than places like SpaceHey, and you can make literally anything. There's also a really great community on there.

• PERSONALISE YOUR BELONGINGS!!!!!

  Put stickers on your laptop, on your phonecase, on your school books, use all different types of pens to customise your schoolwork, put keychains on your bags, if you have a car put stickers on it, anything you can think of, bedazzle it with things you love!
