Parties are the worst. I've never been fully comfortable in someone else's house, interacting with people i don't care for, drinking the cheapest beer brought by a 17 year old frat boy who hasn't passed a test in lord knows how long.
how is anything about this situation enjoyable

I feel you, it's much nicer when it's just with people you know and are comfortable with, but I hate parties with strangers around and meeting new people because I find it really difficult

Hmm one of these things I believe:
1. They like being within groups and communities, or they enjoy crowds of people
2. They wanna get laid, drugs
3. Wanna make connections and network
