★ WENT TO ZION, UTAH: I went on vacation with my whole ass family (I mean like, extended extended family) to Utah!!!! ୧(^ 〰 ^)୨ This one was apparently the last one we are ever doing (the family is just getting too big, nobody can afford to keep like 60 people in a house anymore) (valid) but like... we have been doing a big trip for like decades now. I don't remember the exact year but this annual thing started in like 1983 or something. Yeah like I'm not kidding!! Its a big deal. @_@
Its only my mom's side, and my grandma's side of the family, so like my cousins, my moms cousins (an their kids) and my grandma's siblings. A lot of us... (。ŏ﹏ŏ) My mom, Dad, me and my brother went up a day before the house was ready for us and so we shared a hotel room and did most of the Narrows hike, which ended up being like 10 miles (5 there and back). Next day the house was open so we all moved in, mind you there is like a billion of us. T_T
One weird ass thing about this big house we rented was that instead of having a lot of bedrooms, there was like... a bunkhouse. Legitimately resembling horse stables. O.O We crammed like 12 families into the barn and a few got the actual rooms in the house. To be continued because I just have to:
★ RANT ABOUT HATING TODDLERS: Some things you gotta understand as well. Like my cousins (between the ages of 15-25) are there. Those are my freaking people bruh. For reference, this includes the following: my brother, ☆Fish, ☆Mayo, ☆RiRo, ☆Gary, ☆Zeth (honorary cousin), and ☆Abberz.
And then we have all these random ass second cousins running around (like toddler-7 years old ranges) who are fucking SO ANNOYING. Like I don't just mean they are a little obnoxious because most kids are, they are complete brats. ಠ_ಠ These two girls (I legit don't remember their names) we so FUCKING BRATTYY OMGGGG like they had no idea of personal space and just did whatever they wanted. There were like 2 little boys there who were little monsters and threw a whole ass salad at my oldest cousin ☆Gary (he got nearly thrown in the pool for that one). Wanna guesss what their parents did about any of this... literally nothing. (。T ω T。)
Me and my cousins were so peeved by them we hung out at the gross ass lake this place had instead. I mean like, it was for real nasty. There was this trampoline thing floating in the middle of the lake which is where we hung out the most, but we REFUSED to swim out there (used paddle boards instead. The water was green and slimy and there was legit dead crawfish FLOATING IN THE WATER. ( ≧Д≦)
By the 4th day most of the little kids found out how to get to the trampoline so we abandoned station. Cannot even count the amount of times these kids were unsupervised and bothering us bruh...
We like to mess with them a lot (that's like a family tradition though. like your siblings messed with you and you mess with your siblings, etc.) We had a lot of fun making up dumbass lies to them and seeing them get SOO MAD they would start trying to hit us. ┐( ˘_˘)┌ I know this sounds mean but trust me they were legit horrible. One kid started scratching and pinching us because we joked about Mayo being 1,000 years old and a buff grandma witch. Something so clearly a joke and they couldn't handle it. Legitimately they got in tears over this shit and were tattling on us for joking around??????
This trip was better than the last one, because at least this year some of the old heads did most of the babysitting, so we could actually enjoy our vacation. Last addition we made slurs for toddlers, because its funny... examples include: crawlers (WITH THE HARD R) or tantrumites... :P
★ ANYWAYS, CONTINUED: Me and my cousins opted sleeping in the theater instead of being crammed into horse stables. Those chairs RECLINED. It was super comfy in there and thank god, it was basically disconnected from the rest of the house and the barn.
When we weren't in the theater we were in this... indoor soccer field area. It has a volleyball net up so we did a LOT of volleyball, and at night we played 'Granny". o((*^▽^*))o Like, lights off, blind folded, and given a pool noodle and hit people sort of game. We even got a speaker to play the fucking Granny music while we were playing it was awesome. The best part being we would play at night so the tantrumites would already be in bed.
Whenever we got bored of that we did flash hide and seek in the theater. Its just hide and seek but you can use your camera flash. It was legit pitch black in there so it was perfect and got us some funny ass photos.
We also invented a game this year. :D We always have some BS game we create. Last vacation it was 'Discord Kitten Roll call" which was an edited version of marco polo. This year it was 'Danor Ball'. I think its best left without context, just: volleyball net, plastic bats and dodge balls... use imagination I guess. 乁| ・ 〰 ・ |ㄏ
★ RATING THE FOOD: The food was pretty aight. Every family had to contribute to one breakfast/lunch/dinner on one day of their choosing. So safe to say there was a lot of different shit.
One family did a mean ass breakfast on the first day. It was so freaking good. ( ˘ ³˘)♥ The best dinner we had was definitely my aunts pasta night. They had a whole display of fresh brie cheeses and homemade jams and homemade bread UGHHHH it was good. That side of my family in particular NEVER MISSES. The worst one was probably the hotdog night, but that's a personal grievance. I just don't like hotdogs...
It was better than last year for sure. Ambrosia salad... I'm sure you don't know what that is. That is for the better. (ノ`Д´)ノ彡┻━┻ Ambrosia salad is this horrible amalgamation of marshmallow, canned fruit, honey, and God knows what else mushed together in a bowl. That sounds wonderful? Oh my god... its not. See, my grandma really didn't grow up with a lot, like they were dirt poor, so her family would make those depression era meals a lot such like the ambrosia salads. To honor her family (and my great grandma who had passed away) she made a whole ton of this ambrosia salad. And I mean a ton. (´;︵;`) Like I think that amount could sedate a humpback whale. Traumatizing. It was the only thing to eat for like 4 days straight. My cousins had to start plotting how to secretly deliver pizza to a remote Tahoe Airbnb without our parents seeing. T.T
★ SWIMMING + CONSEQUENCES: I mentioned the nasty disgusting lake water. I don't think you fully understood though. It was radioactive. The dead crawfish floating in the water and the slimy ass green color and the SMELL HOLY SHIT THE SMELL. None of my cousins wanted to swim in that damn lake so to get to the floating trampoline we had to paddle board over. ತ_ತ
☆Gary made a big mistake though by actually swimming in that lake. No he didn't die but... I think he accidentally drank some of that water. Because the next day... like I don't mean to be gross. He was strapped down and locked in the bathroom. And I mean, for HOURS. Legitimately for HOURS. I'm pretty sure he spent the better half of breakfast, lunch, and dinner locked in there... .·´¯`(>▂<)´¯`·.
★ LAST BUT NOT LEAST: I went to the Narrows a SECOND time with my cousins ☆Mayo and ☆Fish. We did an even longer hike, I think closer to 12 miles? 6 there 6 back? Which was a lot of fun of course. :PP
There was a night, one of the last nights I believe, where me and my cousins claimed the hot tub at night. We had to have stayed there until midnight just yapping about family stuff and whatnot. I found out ☆Fish and ☆Mayo ALSO LOVES CREEPCAST which made me flip out. ヾ(*’O’*)/ But while we were in the hot tub we realized there was meteor shower!!!!! So yeah that was my first time seeing shooting stars like!!! It was crazy cool!!!! :DDDDDDDDD
Was really bummed when our 5/6 days were over but I see my cousins all the time. I'm just gonna miss out big family vacations a bit, unless my grandparents decide to do something smaller next summer, which is still being a bit debated.
★ HONORABLE MENTIONS: Wow I ranted a lot about Utah... I swear I did other shit this summer. Like I had to go to Florida for AAU Nationals. I have a whole blog about that though. Celebrated my best friends birthday, also already in a blog. Went to an amusement park... which I also wrote about already... Actually now that I'm think about it, I guess the most memorable thing this summer was just going to Utah. (✷‿✷)
That's it for now. It's time to lock in for senior year... RIP...
