my EPIC method for consuming (some forms of) content

Yeah, I'm not gonna ramble about someting groundbreaking: it's RSS.

More specifically, a desktop-based browser extension. (I can't access my older screentime with the Samsung update that happened idk when, but on my phone it's less than 4-6 hrs weekly; I'm talking about my PC addiction.)

RSS is great for fetching podcasts and news sites - though not all, since some of them redirect to the website, but some will be kind to include full text. Or at least the text that's not yet through the paywall (-.-) Aaaand Youtube channels!

I think seeing an ever-updating list of plain video titles is a much better experience, especially when paired with Unhook. One setting I turn back on is the 'Show Playlists' one.

RSS also fetches social media and Spacehey blogs of your choice! (The first example I haven't tried, and I'm content with seeing my subscribed blogs on the homepage.)

Fav RSS reader: The RSS Aggregator (Chrome; has a great ping :DDD )

Smart RSS is a good choice as well. (Chrome, Firefox)

Whoaaa I didn't know this was a thing! I had to read up on it a bit because the tech mumbo jumbo kinda melts my pea brain, but it sounds like such a great thing to use for recreative websurfing without going down too many rabbitholes. I love learning new ways to bypass algorithmic infinite scroll feeds and all the brain hacking bs. An intentional combined feed of content sounds so lovely, if I'm understanding what this is correctly :)
