occultist rant on hiding faith/practice

As a beginner witch i've seen alot of topics on practicing ones faith in secrecy (whether it be witchcraft, paganism, satanism etc) and I get that it'd be necessary in areas you'd be injured/killed for such faiths, but this shouldn't be the case if your in country that's not hellbent on tradition and is actually secular..  If you're in this typa countr(typically western countries) then be prideful about your faith! dont result to hiding it. And if people disapprove of your practice (whether it be your parents or strangers) then dont cover and hide, fight back and be fuckin hostile! Its YOUR faith and YOUR truth. I'm not saying to be violent and maul anyone who looks at you weirdly, but I am saying that you should be proud of your faith and to not hide it from the eyes of your parents. They're rude and not supportive? Fuck em all then, their fault for being close-minded and entitled.

Once again I understand that in cases where you'd be put in danger for expressing your faith it'd be the best option to hide your practice, and besides I haven't exactly faced rude comments yet and I have supportive parents soo i dont know what its like /\ ;v; /\ 

but once again, be strong, and persevere!
