I'm taking three different courses this semester, and I'm letting my brain snooze for the rest of the day, so I'm gonna talk about my first impression of my classes.
Psychology
My therapist said that I would love taking psychology, and I do find it very interesting. The class is completely open-notes, and my professor is very lenient. She's also super kind, and I enjoyed participating in that class.
Precalculus
Yes, I put precalculus for the title and not just math because I'm a smart cookie and proud. That class as of now is the most challenging, since my professor firmly believes that there's many ways to interpret and solve a math problem.
She only told us this during my clinic class (that takes place right after my normal precalc class), and she gave us open-ended math questions, which really got me out of my comfort zone. I'm not sure how to explain it, but that class is pretty hypothetical in that sense.
I also kind of wow'd her in a sense, because I thought of a way to solve an equation that she taught several other students earlier, and she never thought of that. She made me come up to explain myself, and again, out of my comfort zone, but I felt smart, heheh.
My professor is also really upbeat, and she reminds me a lot of my previous math teacher from high school, who worked with us in the sense that she prioritizes teaching and familiarizing us with the overall concept of a lesson, and not just tell you to copy and remember a formula.
Probably my favorite class, even if the virtual evaluation quiz humbled me. :,-)
Art
My last class is about art history, and is surprisingly my least favorite so far. I used to be into drawing a lot as a kid, and I still am don't get me wrong!, but I don't think I'm creative enough to deeply analyze fine arts and that sorta stuff. My professor there assured us though that by taking the class, we're kind of practicing and refining that skill, so I'm hoping that's true.
After I'm done with my algebra review lessons and my journal entry for art, I'm gonna give my brain a rest. I can only describe it as "manually feeling my brain in my head" after solving hours of algebra problems.
