rambling about the state of the world (and spacehey)

It's come thus far- even spacehey is managing to tire me out.
I've come back from a hiatus and the only things i see on this site are 13-16 year olds yelling about politics they cant even yet participate in or understand at an adult level (hell, i dont even think *i* can!)
It's so tiring to see the top posts be about some weird american politics shit with the comments not even coming from people who are born/live there.
i am just tired of this in general!

Politics has stop being nuanced and a part of life and with the effect of children aged 11-16 participating in the discussion whilst their brain isn't even formed enough to have proper introspection the entire point of the internet and globally communicating about issues has been ruined.

And not only children, even the adult participants in the discussion lately seem to have complete brainworms. Trump this, Gay that, Bill here, Bill there- could we please focus on some real issues at hand!
We as the people are completely letting our tech billionaire overlords and big pharma bosses dictate a fight that does not even need to exist.
Why are people unable to just let people live? Say for themselves, ''if it doesn't harm nobody but them, why would i care?''.. where did that spirit go!
I dont remember things 5-8.. hell, 3 years ago being so serious and so negative all the time.

Its as if we've completely shifted our focus and energy during the pandemic on only the negative, the draining, the unimportant. And social media is not helping any of us at all.
Its sad when you study humanities, that you understand where all this is coming from: but cant do anything to change it. because people dont want this attitude to change. It's easy to simplify the complicate and to complicate the simple!

I'm happy most of my mutual here seem to have their head steady on their shoulders and aren't so chronically online that they spout hate even here- in the further corners of the internet.

FYI spacehey users, this is still a relatively small site compared to your usual obsessions like tiktok and instagram and hell even facebook and youtube!!!
Stop spending your time infighting here in blog posts that max 100-300 people see. That's less than a gymnasium full of people!! 

Focus on the nicer sides of life. i try to. it's better for you than to sulk. (or rather, yell)
Ending my rant here as my headache is now starting to split my skull in half.

TLDR: the infighting on this site is driving me NUTS!!! it's such tween-tiktok-shit... pleaaaase get off of this site if ur 14 and just here to fight about censoring and such! the internet is for adults! or at least, not meant for drama.
