I really, really like dolls. I always have! I honestly think I like dolls more now than I did when I was a child though. And some of my favorite dolls are BJDs (ball jointed dolls). I like Anime style vinyl ones the most because, if you can't tell (apparently some people can't based on some of the messages I've been getting but I digress) I like anime a lot!
So when I was a teenager, I built up the courage to ask my parents for a Smart Doll. They're a brand of 1/3 scale vinyl BJDs. I got the older Chitose model in milk skin tone. And I really, really love her. She's my prized possession. I have a lot of dolls, but she's my favorite. But she was my only one for a while. She seemed lonely. Well, I'm an adult now with a job, so I can actually buy things for myself now lol. And thus, i decided to buy Chitose a girlfriend hehe
This is Mirai. She's like the poster girl of smart doll. She was the first one Danny Choo designed, and thus she always has some incarnation of herself on sale. And I think she's adorable. Ever since I first learned about smart doll, I wanted a Mirai doll. When I got my first though, I wanted Chitose more. But now, I have them both!!!
Mirai didn't come with too much: just herself, a set of bra and panties, a wig, and a doll stand. Luckily though, I've had Chitose for quite a long time now, so I have more than enough clothes at the moment to put on this cutie. I don't think Chitose minds too much that her girlfriend gets to share her clothes.
Here's the two of them together. And yes, I have decided that they're dating. It makes for a cute story in my head. I'd like to believe that they've been in a long distance relationship and Mirai finally decided to move in with her. So now, they'll be together forever!
I have some more doll clothes in the mail coming in a few months, so I'm excited to have two models for them now. Until then though, I do have more than enough on hold at the moment anyways. I'm so, so happy that i got Mirai. She's sucha cutie, and she and Chitose go so well together. Next on my list is to get a dollfie dream, but that's not for a while yet.

There's actually quite a few differences between Mirai and Chitose because they came out quite a bit of time after each other. Their skin colors are different, as Chitose is a bit paler for one. Mirai's doll stand is also better. But the biggest thing is their skeletons. Mirai has a more restrictive and snappy skeleton, whereas Chitose as a pretty loose and less restrictive one. I don't prefer one over the other, they're just different! They're both rather articulate regardless, so I won't complain!

of course you like dolls more now than when you were a child
have you seen the typa dolls we had as kids? the most unholy faces istg they were just ugly, and i too recently bought a lil doll i called her luna, she's so cute, kid me would've killed to have her
I loved some of the dolls i had as a kid but i really love my dolls now waaaaay more haha chitose and mirai are the cutest ever though <3 I'd love to see your doll someday :D
