Este me lo compre bajo la influencia de el y su hermana (te amo Genie, eres el amor de mi vida)
La historia va de Violet Sorrengail, una chica que esperaba una vida tranquila como escriba, pero su madre (una comandante) la obliga a ingresar al Colegio de Guerra de Basgiath, donde los cadetes compiten para convertirse en jinetes de dragones. La cuestión: Violet es más frágil que una copa de cristal, y en ese mundo, los débiles no sobreviven.
Aparte de por ellos lo compre porque la verdad no tenia nada que leer en su momento y el bendito libro me termino gustando muchísimo mas de lo que imaginaba, la pobre Violet de verdad le soplas el brazo y le partes el hueso, ella de verdad paso por un montón de dolor y sufrimiento todo el rato (╥﹏╥) amo como los personajes son TAN CHISTOSOS, Diosmio yo leia esa cosa y parecía una loquita del centro riéndome sola en una esquina, a pesar de las referencias medievales (Dragones, escribas, magia etc) los personajes de repente hablan de manera "moderna" y es buenísimo xD
Yo no soy la mas fan del romance y muchísimo menos del enemies to lovers pero el de Violet y Xaden esta justificado de alguna manera al no poder estar separados de sus dragones, si me termino gustando y Jesucristo redentor, esos dos son DEMASIADO HORNYS :sob: viven todo el rato con ganas de comerse el uno al otro, yo me quedaba tiesa cuando estaba leyendo tan tranquila y literal parpadeaba y pum, coito entre esos porque no se aguantan NADA (⸝⸝๑﹏๑⸝⸝) "me daba tanta risa estar en el break del trabajo y leer a Vi describiendo los musculos de Xaden y como se le antojan".
Tiene personajes tan buenos con los que te encariñas tanto (jamás podria ser el bodrio de Aetos, en esta casa lo odiamos) y la personalidad de cada dragon es tan distinta y le terminas agarrando cariño a esos también "el sass de Tairn es buenisimo" (te amo Andarna, eres la cosita mas tierna del mundo) lo empece con tal vez no mucha fé y terminé queriendo enterrar las uñas en el escritorio por no tener el segundo al momento de terminar este y aun sufro por no tenerlo. 10/10

I bought it under the influence of him and his sister (I love you Genie, you’re the love of my life).
The story follows Violet Sorrengail, a girl who expected a peaceful life as a scribe, but her mother (a commanding general) forces her to enroll at Basgiath War College, where cadets compete to become dragon riders. The thing: Violet is more fragile than a crystal glass, and in that world, the weak don’t survive.
Besides them, I also bought it because I had nothing else to read at the time, and the damn book ended up being way better than I imagined. Poor Violet seriously, you could blow on her arm and snap a bone. She goes through so much pain and suffering the whole time
(╥﹏╥). I love how the characters are SO FUNNY my God, I’d be reading and laughing like a crazy one alone in a corner. Even with all the medieval vibes (dragons, scribes, magic, etc.), sometimes the characters suddenly speak in a “modern” way, and it’s hilarious xD.
I’m not the biggest fan of romance, and even less of enemies to lovers, but Violet and Xaden’s relationship is somehow justified because they can’t be separated from their dragons. I actually ended up liking it and, oh sweet Jesus, those two are WAY too HORNY
(ó﹏ò｡). They literally can’t stop wanting each other. I’d just be reading peacefully and bam, sex scene out of nowhere because they can’t resist at all. “It killed me how I’d be on my break at work, reading Violet describing Xaden’s muscles and how much she wanted them.”
The book has such good characters that you genuinely grow attached to (definitely not the trash that is Aetos, we hate him in this house). And the dragons’ personalities are all so unique that you end up loving them too. “Tairn’s sass is amazing.” (Andarna, I love you, you’re the sweetest little thing in the world). I started this book with maybe not much faith, and ended up clawing at my desk because I didn’t have the sequel right there with me and IM STILL SUFFERING. 10/10.
