jonghyun from shinee

This may sound a bit random, but I don't mean to come off as rude at all. Why does everybody mention his passing anytime there's a post about him? I truly don't want to be insesitive about this kind of topic but, in my point of view he shouldn't be remembered just because of that. Jonghyun is so much more than just his passing, it pains me a bit than whenever people post something about him (completly unrelated to THAT topic) & some people immediately rush in the comment section to say 'rest in peace' and so on.. Obviously, it's heartbreaking for him to not be with us anymore and I'm sure that it's pretty clear everybody misses him.

What I mean is that instead of constantly looking at that tragic moment, it'd be better if we focused more on the beautiful times of his career and life. Just opening a comment section and being reminded of what sadly happend easily upsets you... or sometimes it feels like you're not allowed to even mention him. I noticed that over the years whenever Shinee talk about him, it almost feels like as if he's just in another country or something, yet still with us. Even Key mentioned it once in a video, saying how he hated how it felt like it was forbidden to talk about him for a period of time & also said that "it's ok to talk about him." They mention the good times they all shared togheter and can also laugh without having to feel tense or uncomfortable whenever talking about Jonghyun..

One thing that also rubs me in the wrong way is how people drag Yeri into this too, just because they were friends doesn't mean that we should always mention her whenever the spotlight is on Jonghyun's passing. She was and is still clearly grieving, but just imagine how much it hurts to be constantly reminded of the friend you lost... It feels like people are focused on the wrong things instead.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that we should look on the brighter side instead of bringing up sad moments anytime the topic is about him.

Please feel free to correct me if anything I said came off as rude or not true

i think in general anyone who passes away at a young age is never remembered for themselves. they instantly become the "person who died" instead of the person they tried so hard to become. another very common example being sulli :( poor girl has been reduced to her suicide instead of the incredibly strong and talented person she was

omg literally couldn't be said any better. i completly forgot about sulli, it's so exhausting they both get that kind of treatment.. both of them were such amazing artists and now people completly push away their career as if it never existed just to focus on the wrong thing

yes and some people bring up their names to hate others..("the next sulli" etc) it's genuinely heartbreaking and so disrespectful

literally, some people just have no morals at all. i never understood how some people let that kind of comment slide and didn't think about how disrepectful it is towards both the idol & Sulli
