I wanted you

Because I could say

That I made sure 

When you died a little

The stars would look out for pieces

That had fallen through the ceiling,

But since then I’ve seen the world backwards

My friend Jupiter calls from the west

Or maybe the east

And now I can’t remember 

On which side things should be.

Everything is on hold

Like it was when I last saw you

And I like nothing anymore

Since loving you meant loving everything.

I don’t want you anymore

But leaving you made me hungry again
