Temu & the war on foreign goods

Yesterday Temu resumed direct shipping from China. This means a wider selection of low cost goods.

MYTH China uses child labor. 
FACT Child labor is illegal in China but not in the USA.

The news has been on fire trying to convince people that Temu is a danger. Accusing Temu of the same stuff Amazon does with data and implying Chinese police will arrest you in the USA. 

Amazon retailers buy low quality products from Chinese warehouses to then sell to Americans at a high markup for maximum profit. They spread sinophobic racism implying Chinese have no original ideas and copy off Americans while the American retailers literally bought their goods from original Chinese products.

MYTH China is backwards and undeveloped with sweat shops
FACT The cost of living in China is really affordable and 97% of people own homes and have good labor protections.

Now is a good time to buy goods at an affordable rate at a time when Amazon goes through enshittification. Temu is willing to eat into profits to grow market share. Jeff Bezos can go get a real job..
