why are all the e-waste facilites in minnesota

i was watching my favorite tech wizard youtuber when i stumbled on a video of his about this place called "free geek twin cities" and started seeing SO MANY OTHER E-WASTE PLACES IN MINNESOTA when i have to go to the same 3 thrift stores that barely even have an electronics section to them...... anybody living in new hampshire or just anywhere around there in new england please inform me if there are actual e-waste thrifts that will fully quench my insatiable need for early technology that may or may not explode after 2 weeks of using it.. YES i know ive gotten basically everything i have now from my parents closet and for basically free off the side of the road but i have special needs that cant be satisfied by spending 2 hours looking for these heavenly stores only to find NOTHING!!!!!!!! please i cannot be the only one suffering from this
